  • VOLUNTEERING YOUR DOG

Ever thought about whether you could volunteer with your dog to a W.A.G.S. program near you?

W.A.G.S. Pawtners are starting to pop up all over the country now and there might be a service starting near you that needs your dog!

If volunteering your dog sounds like something you'd like to try, and you have time during office hours to donate your time, you can call or email us to get more information.

W.A.G.S. volunteer training and assessment is FREE to volunteers.

W.A.G.S. looks for dogs with a very specific set of traits and skills. Not all dogs will suit the program. And dogs that don't make it through are no less important to us! Dogs are able to volunteer their time and love in a variety of environments. We can help you find somewhere suitable even if it isn't with us.

There are a couple of "must-haves" for your dog to be considered for certification with the W.A.G.S. program. For example:

1.  All dogs are ideally between the ages of 18 months and 10 years old.

2.  All dogs should be de-sexed

3.  All dogs should have a clean bill of health and vaccination history

4.  All dogs should have a friendly disposition that is likely to enjoy participating in the program
