WAGS is an evidence based early intervention program that uses a strengths based approach and trauma-informed care principles,
to work with dogs and young people to:
Develop social skills.
Model healthy relationships.
Provide real-time, immediate feedback to social cues.
Return touch to the therapeutic setting.
WAGS is also used as a therapeutic treatment for young people who have experienced trauma as a result of abuse, neglect or family dysfunction.
